Material Handling Robots for Automation in Construction Site

In this project, an automation system for curtain wall installation is studied. The conventional task of curtain wall installation is laborious, performed inside the building while handling heavy and large material.
Curtain walls are suited to robotic handling because the material is produced uniformly in the factory and delivered to the construction site as a package. Several similar systems have been developed by construction companies, but they are limited to handling only light glass, or cannot move while performing the installation task. Most are unified systems, making transport and mass production difficult.
This project proposes a newly designed curtain wall installation robot and performed its feasibility test at a construction site.
